Self-love and acceptance of one’s flaws have shattered to unrealistic standards of beauty with embracing bumps, curves, and unsymmetrical features, these are formed based on societal beauty standards of women body. They are pushed to take extreme measures such as even to remove their ribs to make their waist thinner to get accepted.

The traditional mindset in our cultures still dictates that women are raised to believe they belong to their in-laws' house after marriage It is disheartening to witness persistent body shaming in a society that promotes body positivity. Many individuals, particularly post-pregnancy women, face intense criticism for natural changes in their bodies. This often leads to deep.

Having body image issues or body dysmorphia is a prevalent problem that many people experience daily. Unfortunately, few individuals are content with their bodies, and it is disheartening that so many spend more time comparing themselves to others instead of appreciating their own beauty.

‘Feeling beautiful has nothing to do with what you look like’. – Emma Watson Many body image issues stem from placing too much importance on our physical appearance. Seeking validation for our looks makes us forget that true beauty lies in who we are, not what we look like.

In this series I have showcased the concept by portraying female bodies, one side being the real natural body and the other the ideal body type. I have also experimented and with various mediums such as oil pastels, watercolor and acrylics.
